Our Commitment to Safety
AEN(SA) and its members are commited to the health and safety of all employees as well as visitors and contractors.
Our Work Health and Safety (WHS) arrangements align with the Work Health and Safety Act 2012 and the Work Health and Safety Regulations 2012 and are supported by various Codes of Practice.
AEN(SA) continues to work with its members and partners to develop up-to-date WHS resources in line with current legisation and in order to promote health and safety awareness and encourage safe working practices and attitudes.
SMARTKit
The Safety Management and Resource Tool Kit (SMARTKit) is an online resource that provides employers with the tools to manage workplace health and safety effectively and efficiently.
By working through a series of questions in the toolkit, employers are able to identify the risk exposures in the workplace and download all of the relevant procedures and forms to meet them.
Apprentice Induction Tool
The Apprentice Induction Program is aimed at new apprentices and trainees to enhance their knowledge and understanding of relevant WHS issues within their trade or vocation. The product can also be used in refresher training. The Program covers basic WHS responsibilities, policy and procedures followed by industry specific WHS issues.
Funding received from Employers Mutual Limited Members Benefits Program. Developed by AEN(SA) members, the Program Management Group (PMG) and produced by Jon Burke Creative Digital Video.
Healthy Workers Healthy Futures
AEN SA was funded to roll out the SA Health Healthy Workers Healthy Futures Initiative from 2015 – 2018. During this time, our Members became more aware of how to support and improve apprentice health and wellbeing and how to help the business where apprentices are hosted. The Healthy Workers webpage provides key information, resources, links and case studies of the initiative.
Healthy Workers Healthy Futures is funded by SA Health.
