For Parents & Career Counsellors

Parents

As a parent, you want your child to have the best possible future. If they’re considering a traineeship or apprenticeship, you want them to have a good employer and the best chance of completing their training and earning a qualification.

All members of AEN(SA) are accredited by the State Government of South Australia for meeting National Standards for Group Training Organisations. These Standards include requirements for effective support of Apprentices and Trainees.

Group Training Organisations offer significant advantages which many other employers of apprentices and trainees aren’t able to provide.

Opportunities for Apprenticeships and Traineeships with Group Training

Do you have students or clients who are interested in starting their career as an Apprentice or Trainee?

Group Training Organisations are large employers of Apprentices and Trainees in South Australia. Our members are Group Training Organisations which cover a wide range of Apprenticeships and Traineeships and operate throughout the whole State. They are in an excellent position to place suitable applicants.

How Does the Selection Process Work?

All of our members select for vacancies throughout the year. The criteria applicants need to meet, and the process used vary from one Group Training Organisation to another – interested job seekers will need to contact the relevant Group Training Organisation for details. Generally however applicants will need to have successfully completed at least Year 11. Most members will ask applicants to undertake an aptitude test relevant to the vocation they are interested in. Many will also interview applicants, and some will contact participants in pre-vocational courses.
