Section B: Selection CriteriaThe Field Officer of the Year award recognises outstanding performance, dedication, and contribution in the role of a Field Officer. Nominees will be assessed against the following criteria:

Criterion 1: Career and study achievements *Describe the nominee’s professional development and educational achievements that have enhanced their effectiveness in the Field Officer role. Consider things such as: Relevant qualifications/certifications/training completed (e.g. WHS, business, coaching), notable career milestones or progression within the organisation, and demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional growth. Assessment will consider how the nominee’s achievements contribute to their capacity to deliver in areas such as business development, account management, and safety compliance.0 / 400

Criterion 2: Team and communication skills *Demonstrate the nominee’s ability to work collaboratively within teams and communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders. Consider: Contributions to team success and workplace culture, ability to communicate clearly and effectively with host employers/apprentices/trainees/ internal teams, examples of conflict resolution/problem-solving/negotiation with positive outcomes, and skills in managing stakeholder expectations and building trust-based relationships. Assessment will focus on how communication and teamwork have contributed to strong employer relationships and positive outcomes for apprentices and trainees.0 / 400

Criterion 3: Coaching and mentoring *Provide examples of how the nominee has supported and developed apprentices and trainees through coaching and mentoring. Consider: Strategies used to engage and motivate young people, successful interventions or support provided to apprentices/trainees facing challenges, evidence of improved performance/retention/completion rates linked to the nominee’s involvement and ability to identify individual needs and tailor support appropriately. Assessment will consider the impact of the nominee’s mentoring on apprentice development and overall program success.0 / 400

Criterion 4: Other qualities and pursuits *You may wish to include information about: Other qualities you have or activities you have undertaken that you feel would be useful in your role as AEN SA Field Officer of the Year, and other community work or industry involvement you have had.0 / 400

Eligibility Criteria

You must:

Have been employed for 12 continuous months as a Field Officer during the period from 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2025 by a current AEN SA member Group Training Organisation.
Currently employed by an AEN SA member Group Training Organisation.
